Chairman Presents at RBC Capital Markets Oil Conference
The maps to the right were shown by Amerisur Chairman Giles Clarke to an institutional investor conference held by RBC Capital Markets this week. Mr Clarke explained that these depicted the planned roads to be built to enable the Company to drill its proposed new wells in the recently acquired new southern extension of its Platanillo block in the Putomayo region ofColombia, adjoining the Ecuadorian border.
Following lengthy discussions with the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development, the original route marked in green was amended at the Ministry's request and the route in red, together with all relevant supporting information including environmental investigations as required by law, was proposed by Amerisur. This route has received the approval of the Technical team at the Ministry, and the Legal department are now in the process of drafting the environmental license for the road.
Mr Clarke noted that it was not possible to state a date when the formal license would be received.
